TV cymbals are given a heavier hammering pattern to give the cymbal a darker tone and bring the best of two worlds together. The cymbals have a bright and warm spread at the center that gives you a warm, solid ping that can cut through the mix like warm butter. All the while, the brilliant edge is warm with great wash. The thinner edges allow you to crash on the cymbal or get an amazing warm washy spread. The overall tonality and range make TV a better choice for everything from funk / fusion to gospel and rock.
