The Bronze and Copper shell are a 5mm shell that progressively thins out to a 3mm shell at the center to provide a similar effect as reinforcement rings traditionally found on a wooden snare. These snare shells have a 45 degree bearing edge on top and and a 60 degree bearing edge on the bottom.
I am taking a pearl sensitone snare as a donor for lugs and a strainer / throw off. The snare was in great shape but needed a good overhaul to do the lugs and strainer some justice. Throwing an AHEAD S-hoop for the batter side and a die cast snare-side hoop.
